MANUELA consortium has successfully concluded the first 12 months of the project and set the plan for its next period during a meeting of the consortium partners in Gothenburg, Sweden. The requirements of the use cases that will be developed during the project have been set and plans are in place for their execution. The specifications of the pilot line itself have also been finished and its operation procedures are now amongst the topics that are being discussed. Simulation, additive and post-additive manufacturing processes have been developed in order to conform with the requirements of the use cases, which are about to begin. Altogether, the project is on the right track to meet its objectives and provide the European industry with a comprehensive one-stop-shop for 3D metal printing.
